Rudsak Fashion Show

We forgot to post these!  The Rudsak fashion show was pretty great last week at LG Fashion Week in Toronto.  These Canadian designed coats are the perfect combination of fashion and function.  I have an awesome Rudsak coat (see here), and I’d like to get another one soon.  They rock the boat. Go Canada! JD

Librarian Chic

I kind of feel like a librarian in this outfit, but that’s ok – librarians are cool.  The best librarian I knew was a man who worked at DB Weldon Library at UWO.  My friends and I called him “Old Man Beard” – we never knew his real name.  If you went to him with a question, he would get so excited and would basically do your entire project for you. This is why we loved Old Man Beard….he was also nice and passionate about his job.  We were always psyched to see him working and never wanted to talk to any of the other librarians.

This long cardigan was found at Winners for $29 and I paired it with my grey pants from Zara, brown belt, brown shoes, and a boat load of accessories.  I love accessories.  These pants are the cropped type so when I sit down I have to make sure I have cool socks on because the socks show.  This grey and white striped pair is from Joe Fresh.  I bought a pack of 5 for $10. Steal!  JD

Bundle Up Little Ones

It’s official – our good friend winter has arrived.  Last night I bundled up in my Rudsak winter coat and the warmest scarf I own – a giant circle scarf from H&M.  I also wore lace-up booties and my newest hat, both from H&M.
I’m having visions of sitting by a fireplace, wearing leg warmers, and eating homemade cookies….who’s baking for me?  Baby, it’s cold outside! JD

My Boots My Bag

Had a good night over drinks and eats at old Annex favourite Insomnia, but felt like I had nothing to wear when I was getting ready, so I busted out my favourite boots. Nubuck leather Cole Haan boots with Nike Air soles. Don’t let the Nike Air part fool you – they’re not the most comfortable of the bunch…they’re high! In a cool greyish blue colour they make an all black outfit a little more interesting. I like being tall. My coat is by Rudsak and bag was found on someone’s front lawn in the Queen West hood. True story. JD
