We were one of ten bloggers selected in Canada to be among the first to wear the new fragrance by Calvin Klein called BEAUTY. We were thrilled when a bottle of the fragrance arrived accompanied by a gorgeous floral arrangement! Who doesn’t love flowers delivered to your door? (Guys, take note).
We’re both a bit finicky when it comes to fragrance smells, but this one is really lovely. It has a nice light and beautiful scent and makes me think of an ultra feminine woman in a pretty dress with her hair up a la Betty Draper, getting ready to go on a date with a handsome man. Yes, that’s what I thought of from smelling the fragrance. I’m very visual that way! Calvin Klein describes it as “the ultimate femininity of a luminous and modern floral.” Exactly.
To launch this sweetly smelling product, FASHION Magazine is holding an amazing contest. All you have to do is submit a photo of what you think is beautiful and share it with the FASHION Magazine community. It can be a photo of a mountain, your favourite purse, a hair style – be creative! Click HERE to enter the contest.
The Grand Prize is:
* $1,000 shopping spree on CalvinKlein.com
* 6 months of Callalily deliveries
* Calvin Klein fragrance gift basket ($500 value)

WOAH! Great prize huh?

We were at the 5th annual SMUT Soiree last night at Audi Downtown where the night was filled with lots of sugar, girly cocktails, cars we dream about, gossip, and good times with friends. The highlight of the event featured a panel discussion with Canada’s queen of gossip – Lainey from Lainey Gossip, along with Dan Levy from MTV Canada and George Pimental – a celeb photographer who knows a thing or two about the stars. Between the three of them, they had a lot of inside scoop and shared some funny stories. Very entertaining. We particularly enjoyed Dan’s one liners! Here are a few shots from the night….
Maynards candy was a sponsor of the event, along with The Bay and Fashion Magazine. Candy was EVERYWHERE! We’re still dizzy from the sugar high.
Lainey, Dan, and George.
With the lovely Lainey.
Planning a getaway with Ashleigh. We were hoping someone would give us the keys, but no such luck.
With Dan Levy…we love his glasses! Tomorrow we’ll be dishing on our budget party outfits – we love to dress up! JD & CM xo
Are you into Fashion, Music, and Entertainment? If so you should definitely come out to this…
Fashion magazine along with a great line-up of sponsors are hosting an amazing event called Strut for a Cure. The event is in support of a cure for children’s cancer and takes place at The Berkeley Church on Thursday, May 27th 2010.
The night promises:
* Awesome entertainment – Dragonette is headlining, along with great DJs (Jojoflores, Adrian Villanova, Derek Martinez, and Keidy)
* A great fashion show – supermodel Coco Rocha will be strutting her stuff in designer threads by Todd Lynn, a Ryerson grad who now designs for U2, Rolling Stones, and more.
* Open bar, Rimmel make-up lounge, fab food, and a rockin’ gift bag
Tickets are $95 which gets you the above plus a heart-felt donation to the cause which is the most important part.

Hope to see you there! JD & CM
Last night The Bay
on Queen Street and Fashion Magazine
held an event at The Room to showcase their new contemporary space. Pink martinis were in hands while viewing the new Spring collections The Bay has to offer and let me tell you, the designers they carry are impressive! There are seven mannequins outfitted in Sonia Rkyiel alone and the Spring ’10 Alexander McQueen collection was only steps away. We’re definitely adding The Room to our Saturday shopping trips.
I wore a metallic dress from H&M that I have been waiting to pull from my closet for months. My blazer is from Suzy Sheir for just $15. Tights are from Silks. CM
I wore a silk shirt dress from H&M with purple tights from American Apparel. My necklace is a new favourite from Forever 21 – I like that it’s chunky and looks a bit vintage. Did you notice the buttons on my sleeve? Those are actually button covers I found at a thrift store in Port Colborne. My shoes are from Payless. JD
Also, we did not leave empty-handed – we couldn’t help but buy something new for Spring – Christine’s purchase was flourescent pink and mine was a bright coral. Just sticking to the challenge from yesterday :)
