Ici Bistro

I went to Ici Bistro on Harbord street a few days ago for a lovely birthday dinner.  It’s a tiny little gem that serves French fare…or what foodies call cuisine nouveau classique.  The food is melt in your mouth delicious, and you can see the chef cooking in the open kitchen.  We chose the tapas route and selected smaller plates to share so we could try more.  It’s a fine dining experience with top-notch service, but it’s not stuffy – the atmosphere is lively yet relaxing.  Enroute magazine voted Ici Bistro as one of Canada’s top 10 restaurants last fall.  I would totally recommend this spot, but make your reservation in advance, the 24-seat bistro fills up fast and months in advance.  Happy weekend!
