Bill Cunningham New York

Before The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton, Garonce Dore and many other street style photographers – the original street style photographer is the legendary Bill Cunningham.  Bill is the funny old guy (he’s 83!) who rides his bike around Manhattan capturing ever-changing fashion trends for the New York Times.  Bill says “the best fashion show is definitely on the street, always has been and always will be.”  We couldn’t agree more!

In May, a documentary about this iconic man was released, appropriately called Bill Cunningham New York.  We cannot wait to see it and luckily it’s playing at The Royal Cinema on College Street this week (June 27-30, 7 pm everyday and 9 pm on the 30th). Check out the trailer….

  2. Imagine all the people he has captured over his lifetime. Incredible.

  3. I know, I thought it was weird in the doc that they never made the link to all the fashion blogs he’s influenced. It was an incredible movie/portrait, though!
