Last night we attended LouLou Magazine’s Shop ‘Till You Drop event on Bloor Street. We planned on visiting a number of stores, but that was kyboshed by the insanity of our first stop at the Joe Fresh pop-up shop. We left the office at Bay and Bloor to walk 40 steps to 151 Bloor where the pop-up was located. A 40 minute line was an obstacle that we had to overcome but once inside we were greeted with Joe Fresh’s Fall Runway Collection that we were first introduced to at their fashion show during Toronto’s LG Fashion Week. Hello sequins! Hello leopard! Hello wool! Hello silk!
Drinks, tasty and hors d’oeuvres, and pastel macaroons were available for our eating pleasure while shopping, and Julie and I picked up some great fall pieces. Best of all, we got our hands on Joe’s much talked about make-up line such as their matte lipstick, blush and make-up brushes. I picked up some great Fall nail polishes (three for $10) in Nude, Caramel and Storm. I need to get them on my fingers ASAP. CM
Mr. Joseph Mimram was walking around the party in his signature slippers, wearing a big, friendly smile on his face. And why not? There were over one hundred women in line to purchase his designs for hours. Now Joe, I just have one question – when are you signing the lease on 151 Bloor Street? CM
